Adjustment Workflow for Each Job
Overview
For jobs in which both-side accuracy is important, or for jobs with high coverage, use the procedure detailed below to adjust the image position if you want to improve both-side accuracy. Perform the adjustment just before you output the job.
When Mounted With Intelligent Quality Optimizer IQ-501
Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Enable [Auto Duplex Adjustment] ([Auto Duplex Adjustment])
After enabling [Auto Duplex Adjustment], select the specific sheet for which you want to improve the both-side accuracy, and output the job. Crop marks are added to the 1st sheet, and the adjustment values for both sides are updated.
Step 2
Disable [Auto Duplex Adjustment] ([Auto Duplex Adjustment])
After disabling [Auto Duplex Adjustment], output the job.
Reference
- Before performing Step2, please make sure that [Period. Both Sides Auto Adj.] and [Concurrent Execution of BothSidesAdj.] are set to OFF. If they are set to ON, the adjustment values for both sides that were updated in Step 1 may be overwritten.
- Depending on the contents of the job, be sure to also check that Auto Image Correction (Auto Image Adjustment) is set to OFF. If there are sheets for which the coverage differs greatly from the sheets output as part of the job in Step 1, the front and back sides may not match up.
