Adjustment Flow for Changing Screens
Overview
Perform the following image quality adjustments after changing the screen.
Tips
- This adjustment is the same as when performing adjustments during the setup of the system.
- The use of [Package Color Auto Adj.] allows automatic flow adjustment. Intelligent Quality Optimizer IQ-501 is required to use this function. For details, refer to Automatic Batch Color Adjustment (What Is Package Color Adjustment?).
If Not Using RU Option (Relay Unit RU-518m)
Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Screen Selection
Set the screen assignment (custom screen) (Screen) from the machine, and select Screen ([Fixed Screen]) from the printer driver.
Step 2
Automatically adjust the color reproducibility of all of the output paper.
Step 3
[Density Balance Auto. Adj.]
Perform [Density Balance Adjustment] (With MYIRO-1) or [Density Balance Auto. Adjustment] (With Intelligent Quality Optimizer IQ-501), followed by automatic density balance adjustment.
Step 4
[Controller Calibration] (What Is [Calibration]?)
Correct the constantly changing color reproducibility.
Step 5
[Color Balance Adjustment]
Execute Exact Color (About Calibration Using [Exact Color]) or G7 Calibration (About Calibration Using [G7]) to improve color balance reproducibility.
If Using RU Option (Relay Unit RU-518m)
Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Screen Selection
Set the screen assignment (custom screen) (Screen) from the machine, and select Screen ([Fixed Screen]) from the printer driver.
Step 2
Automatically adjust the color reproducibility of all of the output paper.
Step 3
[Density Balance Auto. Adj.]
Perform [Density Balance Adjustment] (With MYIRO-1) or [Density Balance Auto. Adjustment] (With Intelligent Quality Optimizer IQ-501), followed by automatic density balance adjustment.
Step 4
Check that [Periodical Adj. Execution] in [Basic Setting] has been set to [ON].
For the trays also, check that either [Default Adj. Data] or [Registered Adj. Data] are selected for [Each Paper Type Color Adj.Data] in [Paper Setting]. Select [Default Adj. Data] if using general paper.
[Each Paper Type Color Adj.] is recommended when using special paper or if you want to improve the accuracy of automatic adjustments.
Step 5
[Color Balance Adjustment]
Perform a calibration which utilizes Exact Color (About Calibration Using [Exact Color]), or a calibration which utilizes G7 calibration (About Calibration Using [G7]) to improve the color balance reproducibility.
