About Calibration Using [G7]

In addition to normal [Controller Calibration], you can also adjust more advanced settings such as Gray Step (gray balance) measurement results. Perform advanced [Controller Calibration] using [G7] if there is a large discrepancy in the color value (ΔE) relative to the gray standard.

Tips

• With [Controller Calibration], the output density of each CMYK color gradation is adjusted, while with advanced [Controller Calibration] using [G7], each color (CMYK) is handled as a single-dimensional curve and the gray balance is controlled, helping improve color reproduction accuracy.

NOTICE

• [Exact Color] is set by default. Contact your relevant service center when switching to [G7 Calibration].

• Be mindful of the following points when switching to [G7 Calibration].
• The conversion table (LUT) and profile created in [Exact Color] cannot be shared.
• The profile and table below are not automatically deleted from the image controller. They must be deleted manually.
• Custom profiles registered before switching
• Conversion tables (LUT) registered before switching

NOTICE

• The data detailed below can continue to be used when using [G7] in environments other than Color Centro
• User data profiles
• User data spot color tables
• Hold Jobs saved before switching need to be re-RIPed (color converted) after configuring a suitable profile. Check Hold Jobs after switching.

NOTICE

• In order to ensure color stability, perform any other required image quality adjustments when the screen changes, when the paper type changes, or when color is particularly important. For details, refer to Adjustment Flow for Changing Screens, Daily Adjustment Flow (Standard) and Daily Adjustment Flow (High Precision).
• Even after performing the above adjustments, if the color remains unstable, a profile may be created to resolve this issue.
