Adjustment Flow for When Using New Types of Paper
Overview
If you want to use a new type of paper, follow the procedure below to adjust the image position.
When Mounted With Intelligent Quality Optimizer IQ-501
Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Load paper into the tray (Fine-Adjusting the Side guides Interval of Paper Feeder Unit PF-712/Paper Feeder Unit PF-713)
Load the paper you want to use for the adjustments into the tray. Adjust the Side guides on the Paper tray if you are using a paper feeder unit to improve printing stability.
With a Scanner (Original Glass)
Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Load paper into the tray (Fine-Adjusting the Side guides Interval of Paper Feeder Unit PF-712/Paper Feeder Unit PF-713)
Load the paper you want to use for the adjustments into the tray. Adjust the Side guides on the Paper tray if you are using a paper feeder unit to improve printing stability.
Tips
- [Front] adjustment is necessary in between Step 1 and Step 2 depending on the firmware version being used. For details, contact your service representative.
Without a Scanner (Original Glass)
Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Load paper into the tray (Fine-Adjusting the Side guides Interval of Paper Feeder Unit PF-712/Paper Feeder Unit PF-713)
Load the paper you want to use for the adjustments into the tray. Adjust the Side guides on the Paper tray if you are using a paper feeder unit to improve printing stability.
Step 3
[Chart Adjustment] ([Front] / [Back]) (when prioritizing the accuracy of the image positioning) or [Gap] (when making simple adjustments by reducing the number of measurement points)
Adjust the back side. When prioritizing the accuracy of the image positioning, perform [Deformation] adjustment. When making simple adjustments by reducing the number of measurement points, perform [Gap] adjustment (backside adjustment).
