About Calibration Using [Exact Color]
Overview
In addition to normal [Controller Calibration], you can also adjust more advanced settings such as Gray Step (gray balance) measurement results. Perform advanced [Controller Calibration] using [Exact Color] if there is a large discrepancy in the color value (ΔE) relative to the gray standard.
Tips
With [Controller Calibration], the output density of each CMYK color is adjusted, while with advanced [Controller Calibration] using [Exact Color], the color mixture (the gray balance and color when 2 or 3 colors are mixed together) is adjusted to improve color reproduction accuracy.
Perform at the following timings.
- Once every 2 to 3 months
- When you want to improve the standard profile accuracy
- When you want to eliminate discrepancies between machines when using multiple systems
NOTICE
- In order to ensure color stability, perform any other required image quality adjustments when the screen changes, when the paper type changes, or when color is particularly important. For details, refer to Adjustment Flow for Changing Screens, Daily Adjustment Flow (Standard) and Daily Adjustment Flow (High Precision).
- Even after performing the above adjustments, if the color remains unstable, a profile may be created to resolve this issue.
