
Adjustment Flow for When Using New Types of Paper
Overview
If you want to use a new type of paper, follow the procedure below to adjust the image position.
When Mounted With Intelligent Quality Optimizer IQ-501
Step 1
Load the paper you want to use for the adjustments into the tray. Adjust the Side guides on the Paper tray if you are using a paper feeder unit to improve printing stability.
Step 2
Automatically performs [Both Sides].
Step 3
Register the [Paper Profile].
When the Intelligent Quality Optimizer IQ-501 Is Not Mounted and the Scanner (Original Glass) Is Mounted
Step 1
Load the paper you want to use for the adjustments into the tray. Adjust the Side guides on the Paper tray if you are using a paper feeder unit to improve printing stability.
Step 2
Perform [Both Sides].
Step 3
Register the [Paper Profile].
- [Front] adjustment is necessary in between Step 1 and Step 2 depending on the firmware version being used. For details, contact your service representative.
Without a Scanner (Original Glass)
Step 1
Load the paper you want to use for the adjustments into the tray. Adjust the Side guides on the Paper tray if you are using a paper feeder unit to improve printing stability.
Step 2
Automatically performs [Both Sides].
Step 3
Adjust the back side. When prioritizing the accuracy of the image positioning, perform [Rotate/Skew] adjustment. When making simple adjustments by reducing the number of measurement points, perform [Gap] adjustment (backside adjustment).
Step 4
Register the [Paper Profile].
