[Paper Type & Weight]
Overview
Display the paper measurement result.
[Paper Type & Weight] allows you to check the following items.

[Paper Type] | Displays the type of the measured paper. One of the following items is displayed. [Plain] [Fine] [Coated-G] [Coated-M] |
[Weight(g/m2)] | Displays the weight of the measured paper. |

Procedure (Using Intelligent Media Sensor IM-101)

Select the paper tray to load with[Paper Tray].

For measuring purposes, prepare paper (1 sheet) to load in the paper tray.

Check if READY Lamp of Status Indicator Lamp on Intelligent Media Sensor IM-101 is lit in blue.

Insert the sheet prepared in step 2 into the back of Intelligent Media Sensor IM-101 with the print side facing up.
Match the center of the paper to the center of the opening of Intelligent Media Sensor IM-101, and insert the paper in the same direction as the actual feed direction.
The READY Lamp of Status Indicator Lamp lights up yellow green, and paper is measured.

When READY Lamp of Status Indicator Lamp turns off, take out the paper.

Select the measurement result.
Select from the displayed candidates.

Press [To Single Tray].
The measurement result is reflected in the [Paper Tray] field on the [MACHINE] screen.
Procedure (Using the Media Sensor Mounted on this System)

Select the paper tray loaded with the paper to be measured.

Press [Detect Paper Info].
The [PRINT MODE] screen is displayed.
Multiple paper trays can be selected even on the [PRINT MODE] screen. The paper in the last selected paper tray is measured.
You can set the output destination of the paper used for measuring in [Output Setting].

Press Start on the Control panel.
Paper is measured.

Press [Exit PrintMode] to return to the setting screen.

Select the measurement result.
Select from the displayed candidates.

Press [To Single Tray].
The measurement result is reflected in the [Paper Tray] field on the [MACHINE] screen.
