Preparation

It is necessary to connect to the network when using the scan function, or the print function of the machine.

Firstly, prepare your setup so that you are able to connect the system to a network.

Machine Functions Available for Use on Networks

This section describes the preparations required for connecting to a network.

Insert a network cable into the machine's NIC.

• Be careful not to mistake a module cable (phone line) for a network cable.

Check that the NIC light (lower) is on.

• The upper light indicates the communication speed, while the lower one indicates the network connection status.

Set the IP address.

Check that communications are happening on the network without issues. For details, refer to [PING Confirmation].

• If the network is allowing communications, then preparations are complete.
